what is involved:
Medical & Lifestyle History
- General health conditions (e.g. diabetes, arthritis, poor circulation)
- Medications that may affect healing or circulation
- Previous foot problems or surgeries
- Lifestyle factors such as occupation, activity level, and footwear
Vascular (Circulation) Assessment
- Checking foot temperature and skin colour
- Palpating foot pulses
- Looking for swelling or signs of poor circulation
Neurological Assessment
- Sensation testing (light touch, pressure, or monofilament testing)
- Identifying numbness, tingling, or reduced feeling
- Screening for neuropathy, especially in diabetic patients
Skin Assessment
