A foot health assessment is a clinical check focused on the health, function, and safety of your feet.
what is involved:

 

Medical & Lifestyle History

  • General health conditions (e.g. diabetes, arthritis, poor circulation)
  • Medications that may affect healing or circulation
  • Previous foot problems or surgeries
  • Lifestyle factors such as occupation, activity level, and footwear

Vascular (Circulation) Assessment

  • Checking foot temperature and skin colour
  • Palpating foot pulses
  • Looking for swelling or signs of poor circulation

Neurological Assessment

  • Sensation testing (light touch, pressure, or monofilament testing)
  • Identifying numbness, tingling, or reduced feeling
  • Screening for neuropathy, especially in diabetic patients

Skin Assessment

  • Condition of the skin (dryness, cracks, callus, corns)
  • Signs of infection, ulcers, or pressure areas
  • Fungal infections (athlete’s foot)

Nail Assessment
